What 2 Peter 3:9 means
The Lord is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. What we experience as God's delay is often God's patience, holding the door open a little longer. He is not slow because he is indifferent; he is slow because he is merciful, and does not want to lose anyone.
