What 2 Corinthians 9:7 Means

2 Corinthians 9:7

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV)

What 2 Corinthians 9:7 means

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Giving is meant to flow from a willing heart, not a squeezed one, because God cares about the spirit behind the gift. Generosity becomes a joy rather than a burden when we remember how generously we have first been given to.
