Romans Chapter 10, Explained
Romans 10 makes the way of salvation wonderfully clear and near. Paul says the word of faith is not far off or hard to reach. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Salvation is by simple, heartfelt trust in Christ.
The chapter throws the door wide open. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for the same Lord is generous to all, and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Paul then reasons that people cannot call on the one they have not heard of, which is why the good news must be carried to the world by those who are sent.
