The love celebrated today is only a small picture of a greater one. The Bible says human marriage points beyond itself to the love of Jesus for His people, a love that gave everything and holds nothing back. However deep the love between two people grows, His love for each of them is deeper still. A marriage built on Him has a third strand in the cord, and it is the strongest one.
