Reconciliation is the very heart of the gospel. We were estranged from God by our own turning away, and instead of leaving us there, He made the first move in Jesus, taking the cost of the broken relationship into Himself so it could be healed. That is where the strength to forgive comes from, and the hope that even hard rifts can mend. You may not be able to restore every relationship, but you can be reconciled to the God who never gives up on you.
